Summer 2025

Following an extensive period of consultation, Regal JP North Finchley received a resolution to grant planning permission for Lodge Lane car park from the London Borough of Barnet Planning Committee in June 2025.

As we move into the next phase of the project, a number of planning conditions will be addressed, including the submission of a Construction Management Plan. This plan will outline how we intend to manage access, transport, and safety concerns raised during consultation. It will be accompanied by a Noise Management Plan and an Air Quality Assessment, both of which will be implemented prior to any construction activity.

In addition, we will be making financial contributions towards the enhancement of the nearby public playground and supporting Barnet Council in consulting on, and implementing, if appropriate, a School Street adjacent to Northside Primary School.

We have had regular meetings with the Executive Headteacher of Northside Primary School throughout the pre-planning period and maintained regular engagement with the school’s governing body. This ongoing dialogue has directly informed our approach and ensured that the school community is considered and reflected in our plans.

Our in-house construction team ensures that we remain actively involved on-site and fully accountable throughout the build period. This presence allows us to respond quickly to any concerns and maintain clear lines of communication with the school, local residents, and other stakeholders as the development progresses.

Works are expected to commence in Q2 2026 after the next phase of plans and assessments has completed.
